Hakkaisan Brewery is a sake brewery based in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture. It was founded in 1922 and produces Hakkaisan, a representative brand of local sake in Niigata. Hakkaisan is brewed with a famous spring water called “Raiden-sama no Kiyomizu”, which comes from the melted snow of Mount Hakkai. It has a refreshing taste. Hakkaisan Brewery also sells fermented foods and sweets besides sake. In the theme park “Uonuma no Sato” at the foot of Mount Hakkaisan, you can visit the sake production process and history, and enjoy dishes and desserts made with local ingredients.
