Haneda Shuzo is a sake brewery in Kyoto with more than 120 years of history. It is located in Keihoku town, surrounded by Kitayama cedar trees, and uses the pure water from the source of Katsura river as its brewing water. It produces smooth and refreshing sake with traditional brewing methods such as hand-washing and wooden barrels. The representative sake of Haneda Shuzo is the brand “Hatsuhinode”. Especially, “Hatsuhinode Junmai Daiginjo Soko” is an exquisite sake made from “Iwai”, a rice suitable for sake brewing unique to Kyoto, polished to 40%. It has won gold medals at the National New Sake Appraisal and the London Sake Challenge. Haneda Shuzo also has a shop, where you can buy various kinds of sake such as “Hatsuhinode” and limited editions.
