Kawazu Sake Brewing, Aso, Kumamoto

Kawazu Shuzo is a sake and shochu brewing company located in Oguni-cho, Aso-gun, Kumamoto Prefecture. Founded in 1932, the company took over a sake brewery that was created about 150 years ago. Using local rice and water, the company produces local sake with the distinctive aroma of Kumamoto yeast. They also sell additive-free soap made from ginjo rice powder.
