Sudo Honke, Kasama, Ibaraki

Sudo Honke is a sake brewery located in Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture, and is said to have been founded before 1141 during the Heian Period, and as of 2017 the head of the company is the 55th generation of its long-established family. Sudohonke is one of the few sake breweries in the world that brews unfiltered, mostly completely unpasteurized sake that is not carbon-filtered, and its products are especially delicious because of its commitment to nature.
