Suisen, Rikuzentakata, Iwate

Iwate Prefecture’s Suisen Brewery is a sake brewery formed in 1944 through the merger of eight sake breweries in the former Kesen County. The brewery lost its factory in the Great East Japan Earthquake, but rebuilt a new factory in Ofunato City. The brewery aims to produce “clean” sake that does not become tiring to drink. Representative brands are “Suisen” and “Yukikko”.
