Suzuki Shuzo was founded in 1871 in Iwatsuki Ward, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture. 150 years of tradition and the skill of its toji (master brewer) have resulted in the production of sake with a deep, stringent flavor. The brand name is “Manryo” and it is dedicated to the Hisaizu Shrine. The brewery also has a sake brewery museum, and is known for the ukiyoe (woodblock prints) by Toyohara Kunishu depicting the brewing of sake at the Suzuki Sake Brewery.
